Address: Reservation Rd, Hyde Park Status: Protected Condition: Altered
Physical Description:
Mother Brook II Urban Wild is protected as Reservation Road Park, a cultivated park that includes a multi-use playing field, a parking lot, a skate park, and sitting areas with views of Mother Brook. The vegetation along the banks of Mother Brook remains somewhat intact after construction of the park. Large Cottonwood, Black Willow, and Red Maple trees form a canopy over the brook with dense under story of Buttonbush and Dogwoods. Plantings in the park include a constructed wetland and mirror the bank side vegetation; an attempt to blur the edges of the cultivated portion of this wild.
